As a reader & supporter of jaimygdala, you acknowledge & agree to the following online community standards:
1.
This is an inclusive space. My site is open to all readers, and has absolutely zero tolerance for transexclusionary pseudoscience/transphobic rhetoric, racism, colorism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, islamophobia, ableism, classism, ageism, fatphobia, and other types of oppressions I might have missed. You might want to reroute to a Trump-associated site.
2.
Black Lives Matter. As part of the Asian diaspora, I recognize my own privilege and refuse to participate in appropriating Black culture of any sort, and I expect my readers to do the same. This includes African American Language (AAL)/African American Vernacular English (AAVE) use and digital blackface (ex. giphys with racist stereotypes), regardless of any intent (using it as a way to appear less feminine, more masculine, more sexual etc.). No.
3.
No trolling. All digital space is inherently vulnerable to people who enjoy getting a reaction out of others. Arguments that devolve into harassment, personal insults and abuse will be deleted, and users will be blocked and reported to Wix support.
4.
Respect my privacy. Sharing posts/screenshots of my posts are alright as long as you give me the appropriate credit. Please report accounts catfishing as me/uploading my content without crediting me. It takes courage to be authentically myself, so please don't direct unwanted traffic to my site from people that will not appreciate me.
5.
Trust intent but name impact. Please be aware of the things you say. We are responsible for the impact of our words on others, especially through a tenuous medium like the internet. Although we are learning together and may be at different steps in our journey to be better people, take a breath before indulging in anger so as to minimize problematic statements, language, or behavior, that may be disruptive in this shared space. I am learning to do this just as you are!
Obviously far from a binding contract (not even a contract), and definitely not enforced by any means (how?), I would still attest to the above as an adequate guide if not reminder to be a good person online. it isn't as difficult as some might think!
